Product Overview

The EV Charging Gun Plug Life & Temperature Rise Test System is designed to evaluate the durability, electrical performance, and safety reliability of electric vehicle charging connectors.

With the rapid growth of electric vehicles (EVs), charging connectors are required to withstand thousands of repeated plugging/unplugging cycles while maintaining stable electrical contact and safe temperature performance.

This integrated testing system performs:

Testing Functions & Principles
1. Plug Insertion & Withdrawal Life Test

The servo-driven mechanism repeatedly inserts and withdraws the charging connector to simulate real-world charging operations.

During testing, the system monitors:

  • Number of cycles
  • Insertion/withdrawal force
  • Connector damage
  • Abnormal current changes

When abnormal conditions occur, the equipment automatically stops and provides an alarm.


2. Temperature Rise Test

The system applies high DC current to simulate actual charging conditions and measures temperature changes at connector contacts.

It evaluates:

  • Contact heating performance
  • Current carrying capability
  • Thermal stability under continuous charging

3. Contact Resistance Test

The system measures connector contact resistance before and after durability testing to verify whether repeated plugging affects electrical performance.
