Product Overview

Our Ball Pressure Test Apparatus is precision engineered for abnormal heat resistance assessment of non-metallic insulating materials, fully conforming to IEC60695-10-2 Edition 3, IEC 62196-3:2026 and IEC 62196-1:2025. It is a must-have compliance fixture for EV testing laboratories, EV charging pile factories, third-party certification institutes and electrical component manufacturers.

This ball pressure tester evaluates thermal softening and deformation risks of polymer insulation parts under constant load and elevated temperature, widely used for EV charging sockets, charging connectors and other electrotechnical subassemblies. The unit adopts interchangeable assemblies to support two test layouts (Figure 1a / Figure 1b defined in IEC60695-10-2). The total loading force maintains 20N ±0.2N; when using the 5mm standard steel ball, the ball self-weight is counted into total load, ensuring consistent, repeatable test results for EV certification. A K-type thermocouple (0~1000°C) can be inserted directly into the specimen holder to monitor real-time sample temperature during high-temperature heat resistance testing. Made of durable 304 stainless steel, it resists corrosion and maintains stable performance during long-cycle EV material compliance tests inside hot air ovens.
